Portrait of a lady

The series "Portrait of a Lady" features 15 portraits of women from my extended personal circle. I created these works in their homes, integrating their familiar surroundings and cherished items from their personal collections. In the process of getting to know them, I was introduced to the diverse and rich narratives of their lives, helping me to capture their unique personalities in the portraits. The staging process provided a platform for the women to tell their own stories, highlighting their profound self-awareness and charisma. As the series took shape, I began to see the emergence of a female archetype—one that seemed to carry not only the essence of the individuals but also that of an era. Through working with these ladies, I discovered how the outward expression of a life fully lived adds a new layer of depth to the concept of beauty.
